ME and I returned to KSA last Saturday 7th June. We did a world wind trip to the US. Arriving in Philly on the 14th May, we flew the next day to St Petersburg Florida to attend Meredith’s graduation from Eckerd College. We stayed on Treasure Island on the gulf coast for 6 days enjoying the beautiful Florida spring time. Margot flew in from San Francisco and my sister Linda and her husband David also joined join us. ME’s sister Kathy and her husband Doug, who have a place on Treasure Island and their children Katie and Chris were also around to join in on the celebration. Everyone agreed that the best part of the celebration was the lunch time cruses on Doug’s boat where we stopped at rustic restaurants on the docks in the area to eat fresh seafood, followed by drinks on the boat while motoring around St Pete’s waterways.
We all flew back to Philly before Memorial Day weekend. My family came in from NH and ME over the weekend were we all attended a Celebration of Life service for our father who passed away in early April.
ME made several trips to Saginaw for work commitments over the next week and a half while I stayed home and got the house in shape for the summer. And now we are back.
Below are some pictures of the graduation. ME and I are incredibly proud of Meredith who has completed another major milestone in her journey through life. We wish her the best and look forward to sharing with her all of the exciting times in this next phase of her life. (Within a week of graduation she got a job in Jackson Hole WY in the hospitality industry.) Living the dream!
So very very sorry to hear about your Dad! What fond memories I have of him. All the more reason we need to stay in touch – always. It goes way too fast. Good to see the great photos of the fam. We were all the same age -maybe younger – when we were tearing up the place in Philly and Stone
Harbor
Hi Bob,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I had no idea. I hope your mom is ok as I know this was stressful for her too. I remember how warm, social and friendly your dad was.
We are thrilled with Meredith’s accomplishment and that she is “living the dream!”
Miss you!
Congratulations to Meredith! Wonderful pictures of all of you.
