Update and Mosques of Khobar

Hi, sorry for the lack of posts this month, ME and I traveled home for most of August. ME spent most of her time in Saginaw working. I was in Bryn Mawr with family and doing maintenance on our house. It was great to be home especially in August. I thoroughly enjoyed and ate my share of tomatoes (tomato sandwiches everyday) and peaches. We did take a long weekend and flew to San Francisco where we visited Margot and Meredith. I will do a short post on our visit soon.

We returned to Al Khobar, KSA in the end of August. And the weather has changed dramatically. For most of the summer, at least till the end of July, the weather was hot, temperatures averaged 105 to 115 during the day. But the winds were coming off the dessert which keeps the humidity very low. In the shade you can actually be outside. I think I have mentioned several times that it is sunny EVERY DAY. You never see a cloud in the sky. Now the temperatures average around 105 degrees everyday but the winds have shifted and are coming off the Persian Gulf. This brings in the humidity which increases the real feel temperatures to 115 to 125. It is almost impossible to be outside. If you do stay outside, within minutes you perspire, it’s like being in a sauna. Your sunglasses fog up as soon as you go out. It is really not that fun. I am told that it will be this way for the next 4 or 5weeks? We will see.

This is a filler post, below are some pictures of mosques in and around Al Khobar. Next up Austria and San Francisco.
